Airshow

Wow, a super long time since I updated here, so todays picture is from Sunderland airshow this weekend, the Aerostars, flying in a formation of Yak50s with an SU26.

Speakers Corner part 2

So many pictures in one place. It's canded street photography, but with the ability to get in close, most pictures being taken at about 35mm. If you do happen to be in London on a Sunday, then it's definately worth a visit

Speakers Corner

I never realised that this place was here, wow. It's a hotbed of religious types, ranting islamophobes, and most importantly, for me, people who dont mind a lens being stuck in their face.

It was fantastic fun to wander round, taking pictures. I managed to fire off over 2 whole films here, and I'll probably share a few of the pictures with you over the next few days.

Still using XP2 super, and now, my new camera, a Canon Eos1n, along with the 24-70L f/2.8, although more at the short end, so I could get close in to get the pictures I wanted.

London eye part 2

I've been a smidge busy with work recently, to be able to take many pictures, so here is one from a few days ago, of the London Eye. I think I like this one more than the last, the darkness of the trees against the sky provides great contrast.

I'm looking forward to printing this one up properly, to see how it looks bigger.

Big Ben

It wouldn't be a photo-trip around london without at least one picture of Big Ben, so here it is, albeit a slightly different view to normal. I've quickly become a fan of XP2 super, and I'm glad I've got quite a few rolls in the fridge at home

Late Dining

Although I prefer film over digital, there are some areas where it outperforms film that it would be silly not to use it. One of those areas is in low light.

Setting the camera to ISO1600, and the lens wide open allowed me to handhold this picture, taken after I ate in the restautrant to the right, in Exmouth Market.

More London

Another shot, this time taken walking down Oxford Street. There are scores of people holding signs all along Oxford Street, and all looking very bored. This huddle of people looked a little more animated that most however.

Again, Canon EOS300, 24-70 f/2.8L, Ilford XP2super.

I'll try and get some pictures in colour for tomorrow
