Speakers Corner
I never realised that this place was here, wow. It's a hotbed of religious types, ranting islamophobes, and most importantly, for me, people who dont mind a lens being stuck in their face.
It was fantastic fun to wander round, taking pictures. I managed to fire off over 2 whole films here, and I'll probably share a few of the pictures with you over the next few days.
Still using XP2 super, and now, my new camera, a Canon Eos1n, along with the 24-70L f/2.8, although more at the short end, so I could get close in to get the pictures I wanted.

London eye part 2
I've been a smidge busy with work recently, to be able to take many pictures, so here is one from a few days ago, of the London Eye. I think I like this one more than the last, the darkness of the trees against the sky provides great contrast.
I'm looking forward to printing this one up properly, to see how it looks bigger.

Late Dining
Although I prefer film over digital, there are some areas where it outperforms film that it would be silly not to use it. One of those areas is in low light.
Setting the camera to ISO1600, and the lens wide open allowed me to handhold this picture, taken after I ate in the restautrant to the right, in Exmouth Market.

More London
Another shot, this time taken walking down Oxford Street. There are scores of people holding signs all along Oxford Street, and all looking very bored. This huddle of people looked a little more animated that most however.
Again, Canon EOS300, 24-70 f/2.8L, Ilford XP2super.
I'll try and get some pictures in colour for tomorrow

Views of London
I'm in London all this week, so the next few pictures are mostly going to be what I see when I'm here.
It's also my first try of using Ilfors XP2 super, as oposed to Kodak BW400CN, my ususal Black and White C41 process film.
First off, a view of the London Eye. Im a great fan on modern architecture, and this wheel is a fantastic example of it, its a shame the sky was a little flat when this was taken, but ny first thoughts on this film are positive

I've only brought 1 camera and lens with me, as I have to carry everything back with me on the train, but its the 24-70 f/2.8L, which is a fantastic lens

Lighthouse
Not a picture taken today, as it takes a little time to get film photos scanned and uploaded, but a photo taken a couple of weeks ago, of St Marys lighthouse, on a rare day that it wasn't raining this summer. Using a polarising filter to darken the sky slightly

Meat Bombing
I spent a day at Peterlee Parachute Centre today, training to do a solo jump, hopefully sometime soon. Although the wind was too strong for beginners to jump, Some of the more expierienced guys were jumping, and with it, a few good photos to be had

Dancer
While I'm stuck in London this week, with work, I took the oppertunity to have a wander down Oxford Street, where I saw 3 guys tap dancing. A bit random, but made for some interesting shooting. It was well past 9pm and the light poor, so I was glad I had the nice wide L zoom with me, using it wide open, and an ISO 1600 setting to get a fast enough speed to freeze the action.

Welcome
I take a lot of photos, and have decided to publish one of them, each day onto this site. To both encorage me to take more pictures, and also, as a log of what I do. Any comments about any of the pictures would be appreciated.
So, to start off, todays picture was taken inside The Sage, in Gateshead. (Click on image from larger view)
